General Questions

What is the difference between ICMS and traditional home security monitoring systems?
ICMS stands for Intelligent Central Monitoring System which gives you an idea that this system is much smarter than traditional home security systems. With a traditional system, an event triggers an alarm and the dispatch company is notified. The dispatch company attempts to reach you and then sends out a field representative to verify the situation. Ten or more minutes can pass before the intruder hears a guard's warning. After the situation has ended, the customer is notified.

On the other hand, with ICMS, an event triggers a voice warning immediately to put the burglar on alert. Real-time images instantly verify the circumstances and the case is dispatched immediately and appropriately. False alarms are reduced dramatically because real-time images allow the dispatcher to immediately assess the situation. An alarm triggered by a pet can be verified as false within an instant while an alarm triggered by an intruder can instantly be verified as true and dispatched immediately. The customer is notified immediately by email, text message, or remote access any time an event occurs.
